how do cleansers get rid of them?the stuff inside clogged pores are pretty solid and i have to extract the clogs weekly
How to get rid of blackheads, clogged pores?
I would use a treatment I read about in Prevention magazine that has worked for me, my family and many of my friends. This is relatively inexpensive as all products can be purchased at Walgreens or Wal Mart.
I wash twice a day (in morning and before bed) with a salicylic acid based cleanser such as Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Cleanser.
In the morning after I wash, I apply an Alpha Hydroxy 8% AHA. This exfoliates my skin. Makeup and sunscreen can be applied over it.
At night, after washing, I rub an ice cube over my face until my face is as cold as I can stand it, I pat it dry until it is damp and apply a small amount of benzoyl peroxide 10% cream and massage it into the affected areas. I apply ice packs over this for about 5 minutes. Do this until your skin clears. Then you can use ice only as needed but continue with the other part of the regimen. I have clear glowing skin all year long with this treatment with little or no extraction.

Reply:I don't use a cleanser to get rid off my blackheads. I use Biore pore cleansing strips. They really work!!!! All my blackheads are gone within the first two times I used it. You just need to continue using it weekly!
Reply:Blackhead Removal
The following are some tips for removing blackheads:
- Keep the skin as clean and oil free as possible. Use natural or chemically prepared cleansers, astringent solutions or masks to accomplish this. Avoid harsh soaps that may irritate the skin or any creams that leave an oily finish.
- Use a gentle exfoliant to keep the dead cells off your skin and away from the pore openings.
- Avoid harsh squeezing or scraping at the blackhead. Excessive squeezing can damage the skin surround the pore and can actually increase the size of the pore leading to more blackheads in the future.
- A warm compress of water applied to the area of the blackhead followed by a very, very gentle pressure can help in clearing the clog from the pore.
- Commercial “blackhead strips” which are basically a tape like substance that is placed over the nose and then pulled off will remove some blackheads that are at the surface. Caution should be used with these products and it is important to read the directions completely before deciding to use the strips or not.

Reply:Try washing with salicylic acid based facial cleanser and follow up with biore pore strips.
Reply:use an exfoliating scrub like St. Ives Apricot Scrub
Reply:have you tried any biore products? i have no idea how cleansers get pores clean, but i have clogged pores as well as blackheads. i've been using biore products that clean pores as well as get rid of blackheads. works very well...kind of on the pricey side, but are well worth the price as well as "purpose" if you've got oily skin....hope this helps
Reply:clearpores or zenmed skin treatment works well.
Reply:Using warm water opens the pores up, which causes the smaller clogs to wash out.
Reply:biore pore strips

Reply:Artistry® Pore Cleansing Masque
It thoroughly cleanses and refreshes your skin with an oil-free mineral clay masque. It opens pores and draws out excess oil to help control oil and shine. Scented with a refreshing honeydew-blossom fragrance. Use as needed, 1-3 times per week.
It leaves your skin feeling nice and smooth...I definitely recommend this product! I also recommend cleansing you face with the Artistry® Polishing Scrub, its an exfoliate
Reply:Make sure you wash morning and night. Try a facial scrub once a week. I use st ives for normal skin. they make normal, acne prone, and sensitive. Make sure to moisturize too. get something for your skin type..Oily, dry and combination..
Don't squeeze you can cause scars:(
Reply:Use a Got 2 B mud mask....Apply on and leave for 10 minutes...rinse with WARM water then, don't forget to close pores with COLD water....
OR
Use a scrub...and ALWAYS remember to close your pores RIGHT AFTER with cold water...thats how you prevent clogging them....
Reply:I had the same skin problem. I have been using a skin care cream called Murad's and it is great. You really shouldn't squeeze the black heads because it will leave scars but this skin care system will take care of all that. It works believe me!
Hope this helps
