Why do people wear these ugly shoes????? "croc clogs"?

They are so popular now and I have no idea why! they are the ugliest creation EVER!

yeah, they are absolutely horrible!!! i think they are quite possibly the ugliest shoes ever made!!!

Reply:They are ugly, I agree but just because we think it%26#039;s ugly doesn%26#039;t mean other people thinks it%26#039;s ugly. Everyone has different fashion senses and some people will just get something because everyone has it.
Reply:They are ugly, but they do serve a purpose. I have a pair, but I only wear them around my yard for gardening. When they get all muddy you can rinse them off easily with a hose. They also dry quickly. I don%26#039;t think they were originally intended to be worn out and about, but somebody did and now everyone is wearing them. They%26#039;ve become a fad.
Reply:I wear them while I work in my yard. They%26#039;re easy to take on and off and I can just hose them down when I%26#039;m done.
Reply:ugly yes, but very comfortable %26amp; lightweight, they dont hurt your feet even if you wear them all day...


luckily they have nicer alternatives at their main website, ones that look like normal flip flops, etc.

So thats what they are!! i hate them too!! they look like lego shoes!! i went to sweden to this amusement park think, and i sat on a bench cause i was waiting for my brother and like almost everyone who walked past was wearing them!! there were like families walking around with them in all different colours, i almost spazzed at one person because it was just so irritating

Reply:I have seen the %26quot;croc clogs%26quot; in the stores %26amp; have friends who wear them %26amp; love them for their comfort, %26amp; wide variety of neat colors. They are skid proof too. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. :)
Reply:I think there ugly too! But, they wear them because there comfortable. Apparently they absorb the pressure from standing on hard surfaces, like concrete floors.

Reply:guess you have never owned a pair- your feet are not tired, lots of air vents- most people thought clogs were ugly when they were introduced- they sold and still do. Buy your self a pair- treat yourself- ugly or not there GREAT.
Reply:I own a few pair, then again, I work at my local hospital as a Phlebotomist and I find them very comfy since I do alot of walking.

I have 3 pairs and they are SO comfy and they are only ugly if you wear them in a stupid way like a dress and clogs. They come in many colours and are so good for summer! So comfy.

Reply:they may be ugly but they are very comfortable. i know many nurses that wear them because at work they are constantly on there feet. you try them one day there not too bad and you can always wear them just for the house
Reply:I agree, I see them every where now. I first saw them in Arizona, and thought (and hoped) it was just an Arizona thing as I live in Chi-Town. But I see them here too.

Reply:I couldn%26#039;t agree with you more. I have hated them for years. The ones that wear them look like they are going into combat. I guess the reason they wear them is that they are comfortable to wear. To each their own. I know that you can get comfortable shoes that look nice and are comfortable.
Reply:I agree with you 100%! I will never....and I mean never ever .....wear those things. They say they are comfortable....but comfort is no excuse for giving up all fashion sense. They look like moon shoes from outer space.
Reply:The guys who invented them thought up the idea when they were boating and got their feet wet. They decided they wanted a shoe that could get wet and still be comfortable, you could wear without/with socks, and was easy to wash if they got dirty. The first Crocs were born in one color... but as they got popular, new colors were made. Sometimes doctors wear them because they are easily sterilized and comfortable. The clips on the holes of the Crocs first started.. I dunno, maybe a year ago? The shoes look good/cute on kids under ten or so, but adults or teens... yuck.

Reply:i know!! somepeople use them for rain shoes, gardening shoes, and swim shoes. but they ARE super ugly. i saw an 8th grader in my school wearing them one day. ugh they were sooo ugly, and she was pretty.

Reply:I haven%26#039;t gotten any because I would think that they would make your feet sweat. They are ugly...and made in UGLY colors, too. Those gems (or whatever they call them) that you can stick into those holes are expensive, and it just makes you feet look cheesy!! People who have money buy those things!! Talk about a manufacturer making money hand over fist! %26quot;Lets make a product out of a cheap polymer material, by blowing it into molds and charge an outrageous price for them! People buy things because they are expensive! Expensive = quality + status...(obviously, this isn%26#039;t true...but many people think this way). There are OTHER comfortable shoes out there that look nicer and are in more attractive colors.
