Any recommendations for a green (natural, non-toxic) tub drain opener for clogs?

This is an easy one. I to am very all natrual believer and this really works. Just take some baking soda and white vinegar down the drain. maybe a cup each depending on how bad your problem is. it will start to fix and will soon be clean..

very echo friendly...

a toilet snake might work if you can get the metal ring off of the drain
Reply:Unclogging Drains

Hair and goo can build inside your sink causing your drains to empty slowly, giving you something else to contend with during your bathroom cleaning ritual. Drop a couple of alka seltzer tablets into a slow drain and follow with a vinegar chaser. After a few minutes, rinse with hot water. Your drain will be as good as new. Would you like another bathroom cleaning tip? Baking soda will not only clear up clogged drains, but it will also keep them smelling fresh. Try this: pour one half cup of salt and one cup of baking soda down the drain and let it sit overnight. In the morning chase it with a pot (two to three cups) of boiling water.

Reply:I've heard denture cleaner works well or olive oil. Sometimes even boiling hot water can do the trick as well as the other things mentioned in the other responses.
Reply:Dump as much baking powder as you can down a DRY drain, then pour in about a gallon of 1:1 hot water and white vinegar solution. Step back from the drain, because it will foam up quite a bit!
