From Jimi Hendrix to Amy Winehouse and Britney Spears (who are both bound to go sooner or later), we can't wait for people to snuff it and the media keep pushing for a drug related star story...
Why do we waste so much time putting presure on famous people to get hooked on drugs and pop their clogs?
I know what you meant, you meant famous people WHO get hooked on drugs, not to get hooked on drugs.
In answer I think a mixture of sympathy from some, I for one am very sympathetic to the plight of Amy and Pete Doherty, as I am a fan of both. I couldn't give a rats ar$e about Britney, and therefore I never read more than a headline about her.
The salaciousness that prompts people to buy the Sunday paper and devour the lurid details about these people, is because our own lives may be rather stable and even, we like to find out how the other half live, even if it is to see them fall.
Reply:Thats speculation and nothing more....
Reply:i think spitting image had it right when they showed journalists as pigs....
Reply:People make deliberate choices, many of them bad.
Reply:Personally, I've never pressurised anyone to take drugs, let alone a celebrity. I think you need to take a long hard look at your life if you're constantly pushing drugs into celebrities.
Is it not expensive apart from anything else?
Reply:Yeah, I agree with all the other answers, and may I add they are over paid, selfish people who think they are above everything!
Reply:It's not pressure, it's boredom. Once you are that successful what else is there to do?
Reply:Please do not include normal people in your sweeping question as to why -we- put pressure on famous people to take drugs etc.=We do not=
if you know of such people who do this, to these overrated individuals? then, it is your duty, to inform the police, and name names.
Reply:Are you for real.... NOBODY makes these "people" take drugs.
