Does anyone else think that it should had been Thatcher, and not Carol Barnes, who popped their clogs today?

Good god, can you believe some of these answers.

"If you were cold in bed and hungry then it was your parents fault"

These people have obviously been brought up in a world where they have never been needy due to NO WORK.

I dont mean no work because ou dont want to work, I mean no work because that is what there is NO WORK.

Young people today are spoilt little b@astards who will want for nothing, They will never go to bed hungry and will be assured to have the latest gadget and gismo on the market.

They have no comprehension or right to speak of the dire days of thatcherism and harp on about the supposed good she did for this country.

"Went to war to preserve British soil" B0ll0cks, she went to war by sinking the Belgranno (which was of no threat to the British fleet) simply because the polls were showing she was on her way out.

"Left the country in a better state" Poppycock, the country was bankrupt, public spending cut to the bone, yes she raised the wages for the services, she had to being as she got them into a trully illegal war.

The NHS was crippled with the managerial red tape the tories introduced and tyo top it all she ater went on to offer aid and support to a chilean dictator guilty of m,*** murder.

Oh she was a great one alright, she is lower than a rattlesnakes b0ll0cks and deserves to suffer for evermore.

Does anyone else think that it should had been Thatcher, and not Carol Barnes, who popped their clogs today?
I don't wish anyone dead. I respect both.
Reply:I dislike Thatcher too very much but I do not wish her dead but I must admit that I laughed at your " popped their clogs ".
Reply:Thats not a nice thing to say is it.
Reply:No! You are a pratt asking such a stupid question!
Reply:No. Thatcher deserves all of the suffering a lingering illness can give. She inflicted it on so large part of the population. I hope that she realises that when she goes a certain international criminal living in Africa will lose his protection and will get his just reward.
Reply:Yes bring me sunshine..she killed the heart of the Northeast xx
Reply:Funny how those with no memory of those days will whine on about how great Maggie was isn't it? Maid in Cornwall is right, Maggie was a tyrant, an ignorant cold-hearted tyrant. Her most famous quote, "you turn if you want to, this lady's not for turning." Thanks for your compassion. She ruined this country. Right to Buy would have been more accurately called Right to Buy Working Class Votes. And who should be blame on the lack of Council housing in the country now? Why Maggie of course, because between her Right to Buy and restriction on Council spending, we waved goodbye to the largest part of Council housing stock in the history of the country. There were indeed a few other things she did, sure she made the miners suffer, but so it was all working people through the introduction of the Poll Tax and the destruction of the British manufacturing base. She brought the NHS to it's knees. Wonder why problems seem insurmountable in the NHS? Years of Tory underfunding. And yes she took us to war for her own sense of national pride, ie, vanity and provided refuge to her old mate Pinochet.

She dies when she dies, it is a small blessing that she has no influence whatsoever on politics in the UK currently, but I - and millions who remember what living under her rule was like - will not weep for her.
Reply:I would love to see the old b@$ch dead...but wouldn't it be better to let her live and suffer in pain like so many suffered under her right wing rule......!!!!!!!!!
Reply:I think she was the longest serving prime Minister was she not-- That in it's self speaks all languages,, can you see her tolerating the like's of Bush, yes she went to war, to protect British soil, would you rather she had not, and the Falklands had become part of Argentina?, please do not wish anybody dead. none of us are perfect, compare her to Brown or Blair, no comparison-no contest. and yes I do remember, the three day weeks, the power cuts, the strikes, Labour Government I believe.

And of course she was the one that gave the ordinary person in the street the possibility to own their own house with the right to buy scheme.
Reply:No..Thatcher was the best prime minister we have had in recent years, can you see her putting up with the migrants we have here at the moment? I cant
Reply:No, she is still a person with a family, you`re sick
Reply:That's the way the cookie crumbles...

If it's your time, it's your time - if it's not, it's not.

Edit - I can understand your bitterness - my friend's Dad was a miner and he got by on jam sandwiches and no heating...
Reply:death is death when it's your time to go you go. All I can say is i've got the champaigne on ice for when that old tyrant dies and i hope it's a sloooooow drawn out painful death anything less would be a tradgedy
Reply:no,we all think it should have been you so go away and do it quietly
Reply:Carol Barnes was an excellent news reader and reporter I liked her a lot and I am very sad she died today, but I also liked Mrs Thatcher (however unpopular this may be) I certainly don't wish anyone dead especially a frail old lady.
Reply:Why wait until she dies?Bury her now!
Reply:Well apparently the freezing nights and baked beans didn't do you any harm. Then again, maybe the frost damaged your brain! What a horrible thing to say, you ought to be ashamed of yourself. As for putting Maggie Thatcher and Hitler in the same category, now I know you are a sandwich short of a picnic. You silly, silly person.
Reply:no because I am not the sort of person to wish people dead.
Reply:if you froze in bed and lived on beans, that was due to parental neglect, nothing to do with maggie thatcher. she was the best PM we have ever had in this country.

edit stephen h. dont tell me i dont know about poor. i was married to a labour voting lazy scumbag whos sole ambition was to claim dole money. we had no money but my 2 children were never cold in their beds. i managed to give them enough blankets and keep them warm without any heating. my poverty was my ex husbands fault. and no one elses. definitely not maggies. so i repeat . if any child is cold in their bed its neglect by the parents
Reply:i dont like the woman or her politics but wouldnt wish her dead, she has caused a lot of hardship in this country, including stopping school milk!
Reply:That is not very nice now is it, as much as people claim to hate Margaret Thatcher, she did a lot for the UK and I would not wish anyone dead!
Reply:hell no. Got nothing against Carol Barnes but Thatcher was one of the greatest PMs we ever had. she took some bloody tough decisions over a long time in office and we definitely emerged a stronger nation when she had finished than we were when she took over from Labour.

people are always going to go on about miners. But the fact is coal is a dirty fuel becoming more obsolete and we could import it far more cheaply that we could produce it so the whole industry was doomed to failure in this country. coal had had its time it just came to the end during her reign. on the plus side she did amazing work for the armed forces giving us massive pay rises and making army life a viable career option instead of just a job for people with nothing else to offer. my dad was on the dole a lot during my childhood (born in 75) and although i remember we werent anything but poor we always had food on the table, clothes on our backs. and the house was usually warm. the people to blame for energy crises were the unions holding the entire country to ransom on a regular basis. that tough old broad crushed them eventually.

nonetheless its a good question as its drawn some intelligent answers even though you had made your mind well and truly up before asking it. RIP Carol Barnes. by all accounts due to her daughters death she was probably glad to 'pop her clogs'
Reply:They say "the good die young" In that case the old baggage has got some years to go yet. She'll probably outlive me, just because I'm looking forward to dancing on her grave!!!!

Edit Kate, we DID freeze in our beds at night, because of hours of POWER CUTS, night after night, month after month. Nothing to do with BAD PARENTING. Thatcher was a tyrant, and was the start of the downfall of this Country, it hasn't been the same sinse, and it'll never be the same again.

As for the "right to buy" scheme, Council houses were built for peole who were unable to afford to buy, and should have been kept that way. Look at the mess the system is in these days, as there are just no council houses left to go around. Try telling the homeless that the "right to buy" scheme was a good idea!!!! But then Maggie sold EVERYTHING off privately, including the Health Service.
Reply:No one can say that. I would never wish death upon anyone.
Reply:who made you god?

thatcher the milk snatcher was an evil prime minister (she said theres no such thing as society, and because of her "every man for himself" policies society's falling to pieces) but i wouldnt wish death on her or anyone
Reply:I don't wish anyone dead, but Carol Barnes' death has saddened me more than Maggie's ever would.
