Why does sma staydown milk formula go lumpy wat is the secret as it clogs up the babys teet?

If this milk is for a baby that has got reflux, then what you need to do is make the feed with cool boiled water rather than straight from the kettle.

My youngest had problems with refllux, and we were prescribed with Enfamil AR which helped him keep it down.

We also had the problem of the milk getting lumpy.

make sure you allow the water to cool fist and always put the powder milk in second and shake
Reply:It may just be a problem with it not mixing with the water as easily. One idea could be to just shake it a lot before offering it. Another option could be to experiment with different water temperatures to see if one makes mixing easier.
Reply:put the water into the bottle first then add powder. not the powder first.

shake really really well.
Reply:aha!! I used this too and cracked it! The water must be VERY cold when u add the milk powder, then, despite what others have said, NEVER shake but roll gently between your hands (as instructed on the tin) . Do this as quickly as u can after adding the powder and it will be fine. Warm up once you have made it up. Good luck, it is quite a good milk, my baby had reflux and was on this until 6 months old. To get the water cold enough I used to boil the mornings water just before I went to bed and leave it in the fridge overnight, then make up the feed in the morning. In the morning I would boil the water for the rest of the day and refrigerate it so it was ready for when I needed it.
