Will lotion clog facial pores?

Okay, i keep hearing that lotion is bad for your face because it clogs your pores. i use it on my face, to releive dry skin. is this bad?

There is nothing wrong with using moisturizer to help dry skin. Just be sure to use one that's made for your type of skin.


I've found that the Wal-Mart brand of moisturizer (the Sensitive Skin kind) works well and doesn't clog pores. =~)

Reply:Well it depends on the type of lotion if it is a really heavy lotion then probably or cream will as well but if it is a light face lotion or light lotion that has kinda a runnie feeling then no

Reply:Find a lotion that is a facial lotion and says "non-greasy 100% oil free". Example- oil of olay.

Reply:Lotion in general can do that and would not recommend putting it on your face (unless you want zits!). However, there are special lotions made just for faces that won't clog your pores.
